Spring Everywhere!

I recently got the chance to work with a group of amazing, beautiful and very talented women: a jewelry maker, a pressional makeup artist and stylist and two amazing models. We did and incredibly beautiful photo shoot using srpingy-Barcelona as location and it coulnd’t have turned out more beautifully.

 

We went to a really nice park in the high part of the city and it was just the perfect set. There were trees and flowers everywhere! We did photos on different parts of the park to try and take it all in.

My purpose was to match the makeup of the models with the flowers in the park, to create contrasts and use that beautil spring, golden hour light. I did so many photos and was SO happy with most of them I ended up with more that 200 final images.

Awakening

I’ve been waiting for spring like never before this year. This winter has been the coldest and longest one since we moved to Barcelona (it even snowed!!!) And spring seems to still be reluctant to make its big entrance.

However, trees and flowers are starting to bloom and a few weeks ago I met with a friend and we visited a couple of parks. We found the MOST beautiful pink trees we’eve ever seen and we just had to take some photos with them. This was the first shot we got.

It’s my first spring photo of the year and I’m already planing a few photo shoots to make the most of this beautiful season, its colors and happy energy.

Coincidentally this photo and the beginning of spring matched big changes in my life. I’m just coming to realize that right now while writing this…. hmmmm….You could say this is my take on this Weekly Photo Challenge, Awakening.

Warmer days are coming!

The Spring is officially here! Wohooo!

I’ve been over cold for quite a while now and I’m eager for warmer weather. I want to put away the coats and scarfs and feel the sun on my skin again.

We went to the beach a couple of weeks ago and it was quite nice then. But this past few days rain, clouds, wind and lower temperatures have taken over the city. So I thought to share this beach photo to warm my heart until better weather comes along.

Happy day!

Even though sometimes we don’t get the perfect framing, or the perfect exposure, or the perfect light, some photos are perfect for what they are, for what they make us feel and for what they represent. And this photo, to me, is perfect 🙂

Sometimes is important to not let technicalities get in our own way of really enjoying what we do. Perfection means something different for everyone and for everything.

Judas Tree

Lately this tree is always on my way and and just love it. Every time I see one, a smile appears on my face.

However it shows himself in places I can not take it’s photo.

The street my bus to work goes through is full of them, sadly I don’t think I can start screaming to the driver asking him to stop in the middle of the street and that people should wait while I photograph my beautiful pink-flowered tree…

But, last week on a non-planified walk through a park very near to my house there was one 🙂

I finally got to take a photo of the Judas Tree.

Spring

Sun is coming through the window, the sky is painted by a soft, half-way-saturated blue and breeze is softly swinging the small leaves and flowers of our litte garden at the balcony.

 

Our house is filled by the scent of this beautiful, purple Jacinto and Spring is here :).
