Cozy days

Autumn has hit hard these past few days. It’s been raining a lot, and when it’s not raining it’s cloudy, dark, breeze and cold. I’m looking at the window while I write this and I can’t believe the level of greyness outside.

This kind of weather just makes want to stay home with a good book, movies, hot chocolate and a lot of blankets.

This is a photo of a friend’s house. Is a little cozy corner that conveys that feeling of warmth I’m getting these days. I’ve really come to like autumn. We didn’t have it back in Venezuela and, honestly, I never thought I would enjoy it so much.

Happy autumn, everyone!

Three years of blogging and then…!

WordPress has happily reminded me that today, three years ago I registered and started my blogging adventure.

As soon as I realised that, I knew it was blogging time! But what should I talk about on my WordPress blogger anniversary?

About the past? About the three years I’ve been blogging? Mmm… could be.

Then I thought that, even though the past is extremely important to shape who we are going to be in the future, I decided I wanted to celebrate the present.

And then…

….I blanked. I stopped and found myself looking at the nothingness and my mind entered in a very complicated vortex of life questions. What am I celebrating? I’m doing right now what makes me happy? Why am I sitting here right now? What do I really want to be doing? What have I donde these past three years?

I really don’t know! So, for now all I’m going to do is share a few compilation of photos I’ve taken during this three years and leave the important life questions for another time.

All of these images represent and remind me of a specific time of my life. They all have a story  behind them and blogging has helped me keep those memories in full color for all this time.

Happy blogging, everyone!

It’s been a while

Hello, bloggers! It’s been a while since my last post (two months to be precise). The main reason is that I’ve been having trouble deciding what to write about (the other reason is that I have been a little bit busier than I used to be). I started working full time now and with winter getting closer, days are shorter and time seems to slip away through my fingers.

Suddenly we are in the middle of October and I can’t understand how year is going by SO fast. And the sad part is that I wen through a photography dry spell.

The good news is that is over!

I got to document my first wedding (which is something I’ve been dreaming about since I started with photography), and I’ve been doing a lot of fun photo shoots with very cool people. But today I would like to share my favorite photos from the wedding.

The cool thing is that this much bigger than me. Along with hubby and two friends, we started a production company called VoilàShot. We work togheter doing, photography, videos, webs and social media for events. This wedding was our firs contract!

So I’m very excited for this project. I really hope it goes well. If you want to support us, we have a Facebook page and a Instagram account where you can see a little it more of our work!

I’m going to try harder to be more active again in my blog. I really like doing this.

Have a great week and take your camera with you everywhere!

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,800 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 30 trips to carry that many people.

Happy New Year!

Happy new and amazing year to everyone! 😀 So, yes,  in my first year as a blogger I couldn’t pass by to write a new year post. So here it is. For me, 2013 was equal to change. With all my heart I can assure that 2013 has been the most eventful year so far. So many good and bad things happened, I feel it just couldn’t agree wether it wanted to be a good year or a bad one.

However, today I was walking trough the beautiful streets of Barcelona with hubby and my brother, in a way I can say is a very different one of wich I was used to spend January first, and we started a new tradition. I began to ask them questions about different subjects as a way to make a fun recap about our year. I would very much like to share mines with all of you! This is how we started:

Best movie: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. This was a unanimous decision.

Best videogame: Tomb Raider. I loved this game, I would play it a thousand times again.

Best animé: Inuyasha. I laughed, I cried, I was scared, I was happy. My favorite so far.

Food of the year: Sushi. Yes! Until this year I didn’t eat sushi, I do now, and i’m addicted to it.

Song of the year: AoD I Just Played Jax. I can say this song stuck to me all year and I don’t think is going to go away any time soon.

Dissaster of the year: My grandpa passing away.

Best trip: Going to the snowed mountains.

Event of the year: Getting married. What more can I say? 🙂

Purchase of the year: “Two tickets to Barcelona, Spain, please”.

Season of the year: Winter. It’s Christmas, my parents came to visit, we are all together, and I couldn’t ask for more.

And, as usual, my faithful and inseparable friend, my camera, was with me all along. So here are some of my favorite photos I took in 2013. Hope you like them!

It was very hard to choose from so many. Specially when there are so many memories attached to everyone of them. 2013 Is hard for me to define, maybe different is the word. Hope you have an amazing 2014 and keep on blogging!
